I’m Emma McDonald, a Women’s Health Coach specialising in the Peri to Post Menopause years, I am also the founder of Lincolnshire Fitness and Yoga by Emma and have been serving the women in my local community for the last 24 years. I have experienced first-hand the changes women go through as they approach the Menopause and want to provide a role to bring support to those who need it.
My passion when I started my career was in fitness. I qualified when I was 19 and started teaching group fitness classes. I had my children in my early 20’s which brought my focus into functional health, nutrition and wellbeing and I trained to teach Pilates to bring emphasis on core strength, posture and Pelvic health.
I opened the Lincolnshire Fitness Studio in 2014 where I was able to offer Personalised Training to my clients and in 2017 underwent my Pink Ribbon Pilates teacher training. Working with ladies going through Breast Cancer and seeing the changes to their body and emotions when being thrown into menopause at a young age made me quickly discover I needed to know more so I could help my clients live a healthier and happier lifestyle holistically. I then trained to be a Women’s Health Coach and also completed my Yoga Teacher Training. Having the knowledge of how to cope with stress in the body and mind ran perfectly alongside the holistic health and wellbeing I was able to share with my clients. I soon realised that Food is Medicine and what we put into our body bring so many benefits to the symptoms we go through when entering the menopause.
I wanted to provide women with a safe space where they come and be seen, heard and given the care and understanding they need to bring about positive changes to their life, so the Lincolnshire Menopause Clinic was opened and I am so grateful to be able to help women in this new chapter of their life with a positive outlook.
